Stretched Earlobe

An ear gauge is a jewelry which is the gradual stretching of the ear lobe. It can be stretched in any other part of the ear. Ear gauges are worn by both sexes. But, it is more common among women and has been used by different cultural people at different times. The most common ear gauge is the ear lobe. It is basically a larger ear piercing. There are many different styles and a huge variety of ear gauges. It has drawn great attention to the piercing. There are some common locations of ear piercing excluding the earlobe. Stud Earrings is the appearance of floating on the ear of earlobe without a visible point of connection. These studs are constructed on the end of a post, which penetrates straight through the ear. Occasionally, it is constructed so that the post is threaded, allowing a screw back to securely hold the earring in place.

Hoop Earring is circular in design and looks like a ring. They are constructed by metal tubing, attaching a thin wire penetrating the ear. Other hoops do not complete the circle, but penetrate through the ear using same attachment system of stud earrings. One of the special types of hoop earring is sleeper earring. This is a very small piece of gold wire which essentially the base of the earlobe. Sleepers are worn at night to keep an ear piercing from closing.

Ear Thread is also known as earthreader, ear string,threader a chain which is slipped into the ear hole, and come back out, dangles. People can add beads or other materials on to the chain, so the chain dangles with the beads below the ear.

Plugs are short pieces of jewelry. Some plugs have flared ends to hold in them place, others need small elastic rubber rings to keep them from falling out. Plugs are usually used in large-gauge piercings.

Barbells are made of a thin, straight metal rod with a bead fixed to one end. The other end is threaded, either externally or tapped with an internal thread. The external thread has become the most common variety.

Ear piercing has become very common fashion now-a-days. The market for these products is spreading day by day. It also used as religious believe of people. In India, all the girls and some boys get their ear pierced in a religious ceremony before they are about 5 years old.
